Rogers acknowledged that there is a major fault in parts of Canada this morning, affecting cellular and Internet connectivity. Downdetector has thousands of reports of problems with Rogers, and it looks like the problems started around 5AM ET. Another third-party service tracker is reporting Rogers outages in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.

Toronto Police tweeted that some people in the city were experiencing connection problems calling 911 this morning. “Rogers Network is experiencing some technical difficulties,” states the Toronto Police Operations Twitter account. “We are working to resolve these issues.” In a subsequent tweet, police confirmed that their 911 center is operational, and advised anyone to call if they connect, and try to call again if they don’t.
