Chris Pratt says his Mario voice is ‘unlike everything you’ve heard’

I know it’s been nine months, but I’m honestly still upset by the announcement that Chris Pratt will voice Mario in the upcoming Mario movie. How on earth is this going to sound???

Pratt, at least, looks like it’s going to be something special. “I actually worked closely with the directors and tried a few things and it turned out to be something I’m really proud of and can’t wait for people to see and hear,” Pratt said in an interview. Diversity, “It’s an animated voiceover narrative. It’s not a live-action movie. I wouldn’t wear a plumber suit running all over. I’m providing a voiceover for an animated character, and it’s been updated and you’ve seen it before.” It’s unlike anything I’ve heard in Mario World.”

That last sentence seems to imply that Pratt won’t be copying Charles Martinet’s iconic look on Nintendo’s famed Plumber. While we already knew that, now I’m even more curious to hear how Pratt brings Mario to life.

Based on a recent statement from Illumination’s founder and CEO Chris Meledandri, however, I can’t be entirely thrilled with the end result. “When people listen to Chris Pratt’s performance, the criticism will evaporate, maybe not completely – people like to give opinions, as they should,” he said, according to time limit, Whenever we finally hear Pratt’s explanation of Mario, I — and I adore literally every other Twitter user — almost certainly will. voice an opinion,

The Mario movie was supposed to release in December, but was recently delayed. It will now debut in North America on April 7th and in Japan on April 28th. The cast also includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, and Jack Black as Bowser. While Martinet is not starring as Mario, he will appear in a “surprise cameo”.
