‘Big Bonanza’ For Polish Armed Forces 

Poland's buying binge at the MSPO, which was ranked third among all European trade shows after the Paris and London trade shows,

its other defence transactions during the previous six months, highlight Warsaw's new long-term military objectives

Poland is aiming to spend 5% of GDP on defence over the long term, up from the current 2.4%. 

Poland is aiming to spend 5% of GDP on defence over the long term, up from the current 2.4%. 

In reality, it intends to increase spending to 3% of GDP as early as next year in order to begin an overhaul of the military's arsenal 

 a significant increase in personnel strength from 150,000 to 400,000.

And all of this is happening despite the fact that the nation is currently experiencing a recession similar to that which the rest of Europe is experiencing,
