Khamzat Chimaev, in Aljamain Sterling's opinion, is a poor opponent for Colby Covington.
Chimaev (12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) maintained his unblemished record this past Saturday at UFC 279 by running Kevin Holland
through for a first-round submission. Sterling believes that "Borz" will inevitably become a UFC champion,
but since Kamaru Usman is scheduled to face recently minted welterweight champion Leon Edwards in the following fight of a trilogy,
Chimaev will probably need to compete one more before getting a shot at the championship.
Former interim champion Covington (17-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) appears to be the ideal opponent if it takes place at welterweight
Dana White has already proposed this matchup. Sterling, however, doesn't believe Covington will accept that challenge.
