The 100-second video comes from GameInformer and features some ultraviolence against new bipedal lizard enemies known as Grims.
While much of it appears to be business as usual for God of War Kratos, who still wields his Leviathan Axe and Chaos Blades,
These are activated during combat by holding or mashing the triangle button, infusing Kratos' weapons with ice or fire depending on the weapon currently equipped.
Kratos' shield will apparently get a makeover in Ragnarök, with GameInformer detailing both the new Dauntless and Stonewall Shields.
When a player parries an attack at the last possible moment, he or she gains access to a devastating smash move that can toss and stun enemies.
Meanwhile, the Stonewall Shield is too heavy for parrying but steadily builds a charge each time it is struck by an enemy.
The trade-off is that as more charge is stored, Kratos becomes more vulnerable to block-breaking attacks.
