Juno to flyby Jupiter's icy Moon Europa

On September 29, the NASA spacecraft Juno will come the closest to Jupiter's icy moon Europa

in more than 20 years as part of a mission to drill deep into Europa's ice in search of liquid water reservoirs.

Such information can be useful for other missions, such the Europa Clipper, which will explore the icy moon in 2024.

Europa is such a fascinating Jovian moon that it will be the subject of its own future NASA mission,

We are pleased to offer data that could aid the Europa Clipper team in mission preparation

and offer fresh scientific knowledge about this cold world.Europa makes up almost 90%.

Scientists assume that beneath Europa's miles-thick ice cover is a salty ocean.
