Mars captures Jupiter’s first eclipse

Since 2003, the European space probe Mars Express has been orbiting our red neighbour.

The probe has gathered useful information about Mars. Aside from watching the red planet,

Jupiter appears as a point of light in the distance in the video. Around the largest of the solar system's planets

This video also allows ESA to discuss the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer, a probe that will visit Jupiter in the coming years.

This is the first time the European Space Agency has gone so far on a space mission.

The probe should be placed in orbit around this moon in 2032. The mission is scheduled to last 11 months.

The American space agency will focus on Trojan asteroids with the Lucy probe.
