In the Meta Quest 2 beta firmware, a text describing the eye-tracking features was found.
Brad Lynch, a VR leaker, posted the description on Twitter.
"The Meta Quest Pro headset you're using has an eye tracking capability (also referred to as Meta Quest Pro device)
It measures the direction in which your eyes are looking using cameras.
This feature is employed to improve the naturalness of your avatar's eye contact and expressions.
the quality of the images in the area you are looking at in VR and throughout your virtual interactions with other users," it says.
It goes on to say that interacting with virtual material can also be done using eye tracking as an input method.
