Mike Tyson Ear Bite Fight to Be Auctiond

Evander Holyfield's gloves from the infamous 1997 boxing match in which Mike Tyson bit off a portion of his ear have been auctioned off.

which are currently up for bid at Lelands, could fetch $100,000.

The legendary boxers met for the first time in November 1996, with Holyfield winning via 11th-round knockout.

In June 1997, a rematch for the title was scheduled, but it was cancelled after Tyson bit both of Holyfield's ears.

Tyson's camp turned down a $25 million offer, according to Holyfield in a statement to ESPN's Ben Baby.

In a November 2020 exhibition, Tyson faced another former star, Roy Jones Jr.

The auction for Holyfield's gloves runs through Sept. 17.
