Trevor Noah is leaving ‘The Daily Show’

Trevor Noah, host of "The Daily Show," has declared his intention to leave the anchor chair.

On Thursday, a video statement was posted to Twitter.

Noah declared that his "time is up" as the host of the Comedy Central satire news programme after seven years.

It has truly been fantastic. Regarding his experience as a show host, Noah stated, "It's something I never expected.

The Trump presidency, the pandemic, the voyage alone, and yet another pandemic have made me understand that my time is up after seven years.

When Noah, a stand-up comedian from South Africa, was chosen to anchor "The Daily Show," he was still relatively unknown to American viewers.
