The dual camera feature enables the user to use both the front-facing and back-facing cameras simultaneously.
"A new way for Snapchatters to capture multiple perspectives at the same time - so everyone can be a part of the moment, as it happens," according to the feature.
Vertical screens enable users to place themselves next to the action in their back-facing camera.
Horizontal screens enable users to divide the screen in half, with a top photo of themselves and a bottom photo of whatever they're doing below.
Users can use the cutout option to add a cutout of their face, which they can then place in front of the back camera's view.
"Snapchat's dual camera is compatible with all of its AR lenses." Currently, current AR lenses can be added post-capture.
Snapchat has promised that updates to the app will be made available to Android users as soon as possible.
